Scope of work

The project involved Graphic designers, UX-UI designers, illustrators and developers who combined their efforts to deliver a robust digital product

UX Designer

Keeping the target audience in mind the UX design was made very simple using the KISS principle.

UI Designer

The colors and illustrations were designed to suit the business following a component-based design system.

Research

A report by the World Health Organisation (WHO) revealed that In 2019, nearly a billion people – including 14% of the world’s adolescents – were living with a mental disorder. Depression and anxiety went up by more than 25% in the first year of the pandemic alone.

Over 70% of individuals suffering from mental illnesses remain untreated, resulting in a significant treatment gap.

+ Challenge

I couldn't recruit medical practitioners for interviews due to the timeline of the project.

+ Decisions

Having spoken to users and understanding them, I decided to design Saga, a mobile application that would help in the prevention of mental health and providing motivation to users.

Visual and typograpy hierarchy

Visual hierarchy is the principle of arranging elements to show their order of importance. Designers structure visual characteristics—e.g., menu icons—so users can understand information easily. By laying out elements logically and strategically, designers influence users’ perceptions and guide them to desired actions. Users notice larger elements more easily can convert.

Recommendations & outcomes

Here are the conclusions i made from the Research and Design of BlissFull Mobile Application.

+ Lessons Learnt

+ From the research i carried out when working on this project, I got to understand how important it is for people to stay motivated and supported in order to make preventive health the norm.

+ Taking deliberate and consistent steps significantly contribute to maintaining good mental health and well-being.

+ Future Opportunities

+ On the MHP user platform, additional features may be introduced. For example, options such as record and medical history.

+ To tailor the app to the user's needs, usability testing could be conducted on a diverse population in terms of ethnicity, gender, social, and economic status.

+ The app may have live sessions or webinars to help raise awareness and get tough conversations started.
